What’s the Best Bike Locks – Review of 2011 Cycle Locks

I’ve had quite a few bikes nicked over the years. It’s absolutely horrible to have your pride and joy stolen. So you should spend some money on the best bike lock you can afford. Below we’ve reviewed and chosen a selection of some of the most secure and safe cycle locks on the market. A lot of them aren’t cheap but if you’ve spend hundreds maybe even thousands on your bike it’s a small price to pay to keep your bike safe.

It’s worth looking whether you can get some free insurance with your lock because some do include it, though the terms and conditions are complex. Most lock also come with security rating, though good luck understanding what they mean!

Anyway onwards here our my top tips.
Abus Granit Extreme 59 Lock

This is one of the best all-round bikes out there, flexible and substantial enough to take bolt cutters

Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Mini Lock

This lock can even take disc cutters or angle grinder and has one of the longest lock break times on the market.

Kryptonite New York M18 Lock

A nice middle ground lock, which is more practical than the FAHGETTABOUDIT because it works with fat mountain bike wheels as well as road bikes.

Motrax @eez Disc Lock Large

This lock is an absolute bargain, seriously go an buy one now, you will not regret it.
