If you’re starting to take your triathlon or duathlon racing seriously you should seriously consider getting yourself a specialist pair of tri shoes, they’re much better for transitions than normal road shoes.

They are more breathable and you can wear them without socks, they should be easy to get on after a swim and stiff so you can transfer your power efficiently to get a great time.

I am thinking about entering a triathlon for the first time next year, so I did a little research about the options out there.

It really surprised me that there didn’t seem to be one place where you could look that would show you all the tri events there were in 2010. So I got my little notebook out and made a list of all the ones with confirmed dates.
